NORTH ATLANTIC OSCILLATION (Scotland)
The music of North Atlantic Oscillation has soaring harmonies and loud guitars and dreamy synths and heavy drums and strange effects and unexpected changes-of-mind. NAO have recently completed their debut album 'Grappling Hooks', which was released in March. The band are based in Edinburgh and Glasgow, and have played throughout the UK as well as in Ireland, France and Spain.

SENNEN (Norwich)
Sennen are a shoegazing band from Norwich, UK. The band first came to prominence supporting the likes of Ulrich Schnauss, The Early Years, Editors, The Telescopes, Explosions In The Sky and Mark Gardener of Ride. In 2009, Sennen released the ‘Destroy Us’ EP. The Sunday Times made the EP their ‘hottest download of the week’ and described the band as ‘dream-pop bliss…bafflingly underrated’. The band are due to release their third album ‘Age of Denial’ in April 2010.

THE TAMBORINES (London)
Fuzz rockers from London, released their first single by legendary label Sonic Cathedral.
"Insanely catchy chorus + INCREDIBLY LOUD guitars = perfect pop music!" NME
"'Sally O'Gannon' sounds like pop songs probably did way back when The Byrds were flying 'Eight Miles High' and so forth" DROWNED IN SOUND

EPIC45 (Staffordshire)
Inspired by their surroundings, blissful childhood summers and mysterious / inspiring walks Epic45 have been making music for more than a decade.
Their latest album ‘May Your Heart be the Map’ (released themselves via the ‘Make Mine Music’ co-operative label) sees Epic45 concentrating on a more bucolic sound, mixing cyclical acoustic guitars, chiming reverbs and field recordings. Using a blend of analogue tape and digital editing/processing, they create a sense of hazy half-remembered childhood memories yet still reflect the harsher realities of modern life.

LIBRARY TAPES (Sweden)
Library Tapes’ music sits somewhere between classical, ambient and experimental, but is always beautiful, subtle and affecting. Whilst early recordings were based largely on piano and field recordings, 2008’s “A Summer Beneath the Trees”, their second long player for Make Mine Music, saw a move away from the minimal sound of previous releases, with rich layers of strings and a range of other instruments taking a more prominent role.

EAT LIGHTS; BECOME LIGHTS (London)
North London's finest heavy krautrock/drone outfit - Imagine Kraftwerk played by Spacemen 3 and you will be somewhere close. Signed to Enraptured records, Eat lights; Become lights have received great critical acclaim in the press and are currently finishing up their debut album to be released in the next couple of months.
"Eat lights; Become lights...From London but sound like Dusseldorf residents...mixes krautrock rhythms and celestial drones to heavenly effect" NME Magazine

SPOTLIGHT KID (Nottinghan)
Sprawling, swirling guitars with the band's new line-up. Much like the first album ‘Departure’ ( ClubAC30) the trancey droning psychedelia remains, shifting through the hazy grooves of Velvet Underground and Secret Machines through to the uplifting beauty of Lush, MBV and Swervedriver, cutting a glance in the right direction of Shoegaze, Krautrock and 90’s Psychedelia… Only this time the sound is bigger and more wondrously beautiful.

CODES IN THE CLOUDS (Kent)
'Easy comparisons of their work float right to the top with all the gusto that you’d expect of Explosions In The Sky or Mogwai. Hailing from the UK, Codes starts with all the right moves and then goes quiet only to erupt in a monolith of sound minutes later.' – THE DROP (US)
'A highly successful exercise in epic instrumental music.' – Boomkat Records

VESSELS (Leeds)
"Leeds-based four-piece Vessels are a tough outfit to accurately categorise using conventional and accepted critical pigeonholes. While the band are clearly able to craft epic post-rock soundscapes, their electronic-sourced influences blaze proudly from their sleeves. But they’re no 65daysofstatic wannabes – this band is stirringly unique, operating at a more cerebral level than the foot-tapping beats of said Sheffield glitch-rockers." Drowned In Sound

EF (Sweden)
Ef is a post-rock band from Gothenburg, Sweden. This will be the bands first gig in the UK after many years of playing around Europe and building up a good following. With three guitars, bows, lots of effects, organs, glockenspiel, cello, laptops, melodica and trumpets they create their beautiful soundscapes. It’s all topped with fragile and tender vocals, used more like a storyteller than to spread clichés. New album "Mourning golden morning" will be release on 1st April in the UK.

AIR FORMATION (Sussex)
Air Formation are an English Shoegazing/Dream pop/Space rock band. Highly inspired by bands like Flying Saucer Attack, Spacemen 3, and The Jesus and Mary Chain, their music incorporates heavily delayed guitar and feedback, droning keyboards, and soft vocals. Over the past nine years they have released three albums, two EPs, and three 7" singles. In November 2008 they released a new 7" single through Distant Noise Records. Air Formation released their highly anticipated 4th album "Nothing To Wish For (Nothing To Lose)" in March 2010.

I CONCUR (Leeds)
I Concur's music tells a story of deep understanding, a rock solid sense of purpose and, above all, limitless passion for their songs and the subjects they cover. Live, this translates in to far more than just a re-telling of their already excellent material: the frazzled peaks of their songwriting are propelled even further, the stories told face to face, the sheer overwhelming size of the music increased.

KEYBOARD CHOIR (Oxford)
Keyboard Choir started out in Oxford during winter 2004, creating live music with the turbulence and dynamics of ‘traditional’ ensemble performance using purely electronic sound sources - keys, synths, drum machines, samplers, fx boxes and laptops. They’ve since gone from strength to strength, playing support to bands as diverse Metronomy, Coldcut and Cadence Weapon, and picking up an army of fans that includes the godfather of UK electronic music Brian Eno.

STANDARD PLANETS (London)
Standard Planets create epic symphonies that effortlessly combine elements of monolithic drone, caustic machine funk, '67 psych, carpathian hillbilly, fourth world soundscapes, bipolar sludge and tectonic krautrock.

NEDRY (London)
"Nedry reinvent the (trip-hop) genre on their terrific debut, a futuristic sonic collage of dreamy glitch-folk, shimmering electronica and weapons grade dubstep percussion." **** UNCUT
"Featuring soaring vocals and spectral soundscapes, this London trio look set to become the first mainstream dubstep indie band." THE GUARDIAN

CURSOR MINER (London)
Cursor Miner is an underground electronic music producer from Chichester, England. Signed to Lo Recordings in the UK, he has released 3 albums, Explosive Piece Of Mind (2002), Cursor Miner Plays God (2004) and Danceflaw (2006). His music was described by Uncut as “electro Syd Barrett meets Aphex Twin meets Gary Numan with a touch of early Eno and a nod at Beck”. He is also a popular remixer, and in 2005 had an underground hit with his remix of Temposhark’s ‘Little White Lie’.
